The Short-Sale Process

Are You Eligible For A Short Sale?

Do you owe more on your house than what it's worth?

Do you have a financial hardship?

Are you not able to or soon won’t be able to make your mortgage payment?

If you answered yes to any of these questions then you are most likely eligible for a short sale.

My name is Vivette Montas, your real estate lady. I provide ethical and compassionate solutions for individuals facing financial distress with their existing property. If you or someone you know is struggling to make their house payments, or they owe more on their house than what it’s worth, I can help. Slipping toward foreclosure can lead to feelings of anxiety, depression, and loss of self-esteem. Don’t give up. There are options available. Since it is crucial to act before a foreclosure takes place, now is the most important time for you to review your options.

I have earned the nationally recognized Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource certification. The National Association of REALTORS® offers the SFR® certification to REALTORS® who want to help both buyers and sellers navigate these complicated transactions as demand for professional expertise with distressed sales grows. REALTORS® who have earned the SFR® certification know how to help sellers maneuver the complexities of short sales, as well as, help buyers pursue short sale and foreclosure opportunities.

The certification program includes training on how to qualify sellers for short sales, negotiate with lenders, protect buyers, limit risk, and provides resources to help REALTORS® stay current on national and state-specific information as the market for these distressed properties evolves.

To earn the SFR® certification, REALTORS are required to be in good standing with the National Association of REALTORS®, and complete REBAC’s Short Sales and Foreclosures: "What Real Estate Professionals Need to Know" course.
